Nothing that Important, No, Not Really at all
It's MAY fourth! Which means tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo, which I've NEVER celebrated!
Oh, wait, tomorrow's the fifth of May.
WHICH IS MOLLY'S BIRTHDAY!
And, dangit, I'm in freaking France.
Molly, I have lots of things planned to make up for this. You'll see them all tomorrow, or at later dates. I wish you a deeeeelicious breakfast, a cookie cake, good wake-up music (oh, hello there, 80s!), many pictures with friends, and one of those kinda lame but kinda cute plastic princess crowns to wear at school all day. Because you're awesome, and it's you FREAKING BIRTHDAY tomorrow!
To anybody else reading this... MAKE SURE TO WISH MOLLY HAPPY BIRTHDAY IN OBNOXIOUS WAYS! WITH EXCLAMATION POINTS AND MUSIC AND STUFF.
Happy (early) 17th, Molly!
-Aly
P.S. Good luck on any exams you may have on your birthday... that's just an extra excuse to eat more (*tempted to say chicken*. NO, I meant...) CAKE! ;D (of the cookie variety, yummm.)

Here's to You
Here's to the guys who put up with hours of complaining about what jerks guys are while disproving the whole point by simply listening.
Here's to the guys who hold you close when you're hurting and will call the person who hurt you just about anything, even if that person is his friend.
Here's to the guys who you can tell anything and genuinely trust them to keep it to themselves.
Here's to the guys who offer to kick another guy in the nuts for you.
Here's to the guys who listen to you talk for half an hour about how much you love what's-his-face's eyes.
Here's to the guys who don't retaliate when you throw random little things at them.
Here's to the guys who DO retaliate when you smack them with a pillow.
Here's to the guys who tell you what you want to hear, and not just because they know it's what you want to hear.
Here's to the guys who sing "Don't Worry be Happy" to you when you're freaking out over something.
Here's to the guys who sit in Starbucks with you for an hour laughing about fart stories.
Here's to the guys who know when to try to help and when to just say "that sucks" when you're in a sticky situation.
Here's to the guys who run around for 20 minutes creeping up on you during your cross country race.
Here's to the guys who are willing to risk their masculinity just to make you smile.
Here's to the guys who actually pick up their phones.
Here's to the guys who will talk to you for three hours about nothing.
Here's to the guys who listen to you talk about how awesome they are, and why you absolutely can't date them.
Here's to the guys who pretend like you make sense.
Here's to the guys who put up with the music in your car...and your driving.
Here's to the guys who make you laugh when you call them after a disasterous hookup.
Here's to the guys who will leave the flour they just spilled on their pants so you can take a picture for facebook.
Here's to the guys who sit in a car for 45 minutes with your parents so they can come watch you race.
Here's to the guys who dance around like idiots with you.
Here's to the guys who put up with any and all of your girly complaints.
Here's to the guys who help you decipher two sentences you heard that attractive guy in your class say earlier.
Here's to the guys who go to your concert just because you want them to hear one particular song.
Here's to the guys who show up at that concert in combat boots.
Here's to the guys who convince you to try out for the solo, the role, the team, etc.
Here's to the guys who lift your spirits when you don't make it.
Here's to the nice guys; the ones who love you for who you are.

Frolic!
Well, hi there. Aly here. Y'know, the one in France. :)
Although I'm massively behind on posts for my personal blog, I figure MAlly Chat needs some love, too. I know it's MONDAY, but I for one have had one of those Good Days. The rare days that seem to never occur on a Monday where you have so much time to relax that you almost wish you wouldn't! (Uhm. Uhm. I don't feel guilty at all about not working on my blog because I just posted something. Okay, thanks. Go read it now?)
I'm going to exclude the boring school stuff and the running around in the morning in an attempt not to be late. If I haven't shared my horror stories... well, I haven't, except to a few people. (Molly?) I'll elaborate more on MY blog when I get around to writing about my first week of school (if I say it'll be done by Friday, I guess that's a good goal. I just have to COMMIT!), but basically: I FAIL AT BUSES.
So if we completely ignore my lack of time management skills in the morning (we're ignoring a lot of things and pretending today was perfect; don't burst my bubble), THE VERY FIRST THING IN MY DAY WAS GOOD!
Because I ACTUALLY made it onto the bus, and got to my school! Although it was barely on time... there's a rather unfortunate detour between downtown and my school that makes the bus ride long and had me running into the school. The usually-crowded enterance (think big, box, atrium.) was empty, and the black-clad students were walking casually to their classes. Pardon me, but school had just or was about-to-by-like-one-minute start, and they were just CASUALLY WALKING?! I, of course, scurried as though I were a squirrel with the best freaking acorn in the forest.
The only magical thing about this is that I didn't have to take out my schedule and check what classroom I was supposed to be in. I knew... likely because I hadn't actually gone to the class last week and therefore I was like AHHH I'M GOING TO BE SHOT BY THIS TEACHER BECAUSE I AM AWFUL. Yeah.
I SURVIVED, though! The teacher didn't seem to acknowledge my existence (this is good because then I don't have to introduce myself immediately and I'm not called out for being stupid), and my friends "bravo!"-ed my skill (except that was later). xD
I attempted to write notes in that class but the teacher talks REALLYFAST and was talking about things I don't understand. Unfortunately for me, I sat next to one of those kids that doesn't have "lights on in the attic", so my notes were like (this is practically verbatim):
" FRENCHWORD ... ... ...
(That suddenly seems a lot more fun. It wasn't, I assure you. An hour of not understanding anything will always be awful and make you feel stupid. I speak from many hours of experience.)
After that, I had two hours of French with my incredibly nice French professor (who speaks English really well, though ironically, this means he is simultaneously helping me improve my French and failing to help me...), during which I had to write dictées and talk to my buddy Touche. This, of course, is a pleasant experience for me.
AMERICAN STUDENTS: don't worry about your grammar. I do believe if you had to do dictées in English, you'd be fine. English isn't that hard, and the grammar is comparably straightforward.
Lunch is an hour long (WHOOHOO!), and after lunch, the other students in my class had a 2-hour-long test (actually, essay. I'd die) as preparation for their scarier-than-the-SAT-combined-with-death test. Since I don't have to take it, I got to go home!
OH I FORGOT. Lunch was awesome because FOR ONCE it was sunny and nice enough, so my group of friends ATE OUTSIDE. I guess they're the french Courtyard Kids, except they aren't considered to be stoners. xD ;)
There was still a bit of snow (uhm, millimeter) on a table in the shade, but I love the sunshine, so some of us moved out onto broken wood-and-concrete benches, which were rather wet. We talked about music (and why most of us hate High School Musical... Touche does, though, which is just bizarre) and random things. We laughed about our Converses, especially since Touche was stroking our shoes (now you get the nickname), and kicked him out of our circle because he was wearing skater shoes. xD
Touche and I ran around a bit after he found out I liked to dance; he and Zealander started dancing something that looked like the Shag, and I was reminded of painful memories. Short, fat boys with sweaty palms? Aghh. I tried to explain to them; Touche and Zealander understood but didn't translate so the others were left clueless about my dancing misfortunes.
The sunshine was so lovely after days of clouds, rain, and that teeeeeny bit of snow yesterday (is that what that is? huh...). Clear blue skies call me to frolic! The word for which (in French) is not nearly as awesome. Frolâtrer, anyone?
When I came back to the apartment, I got to rub it in Cacahu's face that I was home just as he was going back to school. Granted, I didn't actually do so, but he was all huffy about it, apparently. xD
Souhm, I spent my afternoon productively... reading blogs. And I just watched Ghost Rider (which still sucks massively) in French and learned more French words. :D I have to practice my rrrrrr. (like a Pirate!)
ALSO I HAVE A HANK SONG STUCK IN MY HEAD. Nerdfighters!

Day 3--Delft
We got a very late start today.
By the time everyone was up, showered, dressed, fed and ready to go, it was about 12:30. We arrived in Delft around 1 and spent forever trying to find a parking spot.
At around 1:30 we went to a convent where the king of Holland was murdered some time ago that nobody remembers because we are Moores and Youngs and our memories fail. Mom decided she wanted a cup of coffee so we went to Kleyweg’s Stads-Koffyhuis for that. (I took a sip too. It was very good.)
After we walked around and saw some other neat places, we decided it was lunch time so we returned to Kleyweg’s Stads-Koffyhuis and had a simply amazing lunch. I had tomato soup with bread and mint tea. We wandered around a while after that looking for a certain store our mothers had been to a while ago, and when we found out that it was closed, we ended up in Outcast which wound up being a pretty successful small shopping excursion. It was then time to come back to the house.
Quote Of The Day:
Me: I'm hungry. what's for dinner?
Sharon: I dunno...
about 15 min later
Sharon: So what's for dinner tonight?
[epic.]

Dearest Tbga,
This is still mostly food.

Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
Dumbo finally gave me an answer. Not the one I wanted, but I'm honestly okay with it. It makes sense and I understand that it is the best decision for both of us. I missed him as a friend, so I'm glad things are back to normal(ish) now. Though it makes me sad that if circumstances were a bit different, the answer might have been, too. Can't change it; he's leaving in a day anyway.
Molly, being my twin, got me HAWAIIAN SWEET ROLLS at the grocery store yesterday! She brought them to me this morning. I'm almost done now. I shared... some... O:). They are my version of "crack"; just like Jedi Princess's "crack" is cheddar/sour cream chips. AMAZINGNESS.
My english exam (powerpoint...which was more fail than I wanted it to be due to INTERNET FAILURE because of that storm last night...lightning hit my house and it was very scary and insane and such.) is OVER, and I had a laugh attack near the end of King Toast's because he was demonstrating "sneaking around to find food" and I -laughlaughlaugh-ed. I may have been the only one who couldn't stop laughing... as always. :)
After lunch (where I saw Dumbo/talked to him sorta and got hugs and then a large group of people left campus, not sure if they left "legally" or not but whatever. I had a note to go at 2 and I didn't want to get in trouble so I didn't.) and the COMPLETELY FAIL MATH REVIEW, I signed out, only to discover that my family FORGOT ABOUT ME. So, I went to the guidance office and picked up my MASSIVE MATH TEXTBOOK for the stupid online class I have to take over the summer because of France (<3) and it is BIGGER THAN MY CURRENT MATH BOOK, which is R-O-N-G, WRONG. [ESPECIALLY since this math class is basically three chapters of my current math class...]
Andddd then I sat outside for too long and a dude I haven't talked to in a very long time because he randomly FIMed me once and it was rather creepy of him started talking to me; I started texting people and then Elphaba convinced me to come to the band room, where they were playing various card games.
I really have to wonder, what is UP with band kids and card games? Is it some moth-to-light thing? Elphaba and I listened to songs on her ipod and learned how to swing-dance, sorta. It looks really silly when you don't have a partner, which is why we wanted to learn it. :D
Edward complains that he has two favorite songs right now; I think that's pretty reasonable, since I have about five favorite songs right now. YAY! (He also informs me that I am very ADD and he wrote very nice things in my yearbook on the Pepsi page that I've been trying to convince people to sign on for awhile, but nobody has been awesome enough.)
(Elphaba is partially to blame. Her and Youtube and Pandora. They just keep ADDING to the list!)
- "Let Go" by Frou Frou
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x52w8txtiQs - "Fighting for Nothing" by Meg & Dia
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAGlkcJhcKU - "Headlock" by Imogen Heap (AND the video is amazing!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKZsZkH_MJc - "Die Alone" by Ingrid Michaelson
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9POTasT5umE - Nearly any Imogen Heap or Frou Frou song, basically. Obsession. :) Quite a few Meg & Dia songs as well ("Monster" is about creepers which is basically amazing.)
Elphaba and I are so weird, which is cool... because what we are weird about is something that is rather useful to maintaining sanity. Too bad Dorothy is this brand of weird; it would be easier for her that way. Movie Night time soon, I hope... except I'm SUPER BUSY this weekend.
Flailure ABANDONED ME the other day to go to CALIFORNIA with his dad and fraternaltwin (who I may have to Boy-Chomp, depending on his levels of stupidity) and hopefully distract himself from the boy he likes with fun touristy things. I'll have a LOT to catch him up on when he gets back, which is annoying, but sure makes for interesting conversation.
He's my rant-receiver, but really needs this vacation to sort out his feelings for the whore-boy that he's been pining over. The whore-boy that's been messing with his head and heart for a couple weeks. Poor Flailure... it's gotten really awkward for him. Him and his brother keep making nonsense plans with me for randomness next year, which is awesome, but I realize that I could just go to church on Sundays and see them.
WHY HAS THIS FAILED ME?! Whatever I write *RIGHT HERE* keeps going *poof* and it is VERY ANNOYING. (MOLLY, ARE YOU KILLING IT? OR IS IT JUST THE WEBSITE BEING STUPID?)
Quote for Today:
"I've got an illegal immigrant in my backseat, hurry up!"

*Bang Head Here*
LISTS! WHOOHOO!
(Aly of course!)
Annoyances
- Ms Javelin
Why? SHE IS AN IDIOT. THIS PAPER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE WEEKS AGO, but she has CONTINUALLY FAILED. Reading through her comments on my paper, I seriously doubt her qualification to teach a higher-level English class. - Mrs Eggburt
Why? Somehow, she manages to KNOW that I am quitting orchestra next year; I don't think I've said anything of the sort to her. I am "signed up" for it, so she wouldn't know that way. I have no idea. She's punishing me though, by putting me in the back and CHOMPING on me whenever she can. - English
Why? See number one. Ms Javelin is an idiot. I don't have time for this. I'm okay with the reading. I'm not okay with the bad grade, the bad teacher, or the evil paper. NOT. OKAY. AT. ALL. - Math
Why? I am SO CLOSE to an "A"! Mostly, it's annoying me because this REVIEW BOOKLET we have to do for homework. - People Who Get Cars When They Turn 16
Why? NOT. FAIR. We'll call it jealousy. Whoo. *shame* (I'm just in an annoyance-mood so bear with me). - People Who Don't Text Me Back
Why? Obviously, I want to talk to you. Obviously, I would like you to want to talk to me as well. Obviously, that's not the case. - My mother.
Joyances:
Because I refuse to only be Annoyed.
- Old Typewriters
Why? Clack clack clack clack DING! They are such HAPPY appartuses (apparati?)! The smell of ink, the sound of typing... so awesome. - Pandora
Why? Angry music, thinking music, whiny music, happy music. All at the same place. Best website ever. - Math
Why? I know this makes no sense, because it is an annoyance, but it is also a Joyance. I've gotten two GOOD GRADES on tests/quizzes recently, and that makes me feel much less stupid. I also have a better math grade than I have in english, which makes me more annoyed at english and less at math. - Soft Batch Cookies
Why? I think these are a week or more old, and they still taste DELICIOUS. - Hugs That Last Longer Than Two Minutes
Why? MORE LOVE! YAY! :) - Getting Out of After School Orchestra Early
Why? Escape from Mrs Eggburt - Cell Phones That Have Music Libraries
Why? "Hey, You There!" is always a great addition to lunchtime. - People Who Save You Pages In Their Yearbook Because They Know You Have That Much To Say
Why? I love filling pages! YAY! - Even Numbers
- Wait, that is an Odd Number. Must Add One To List. Here it is. Right Here. This. OH I REMEMBER NOW! ---> Complicated and Genius Plans.
So, there you go. Joyances and Annoyances. I'm still more annoyed than joyed, but that's how the not-Soft-Batch-cookie crumbles. (I'm so ADD).
Hope everybody had a great day!
Quote for Today:
"Pardon me my eye."

Cheers!
This is Aly, whining about her day. Again.
:)
I'm SICK, and it's all Rorito's fault. Seriously. HER MOTHER MADE HER COME TO SCHOOL WHEN SHE WAS CONTAGIOUS AND NOW I'M SICKLY WHICH IS NOT GOOD. Worse, I was volunteering today at the wine festival Downtown. Bleh.
Yay Things About Today:
- ORANGE JUICE NOT FROM CONCENTRATE! And pulp-less!
- FREE DOUGHNUT.
- I got to see Kangaroo-kiddo! (My currently-favorite freshman)
- I got to see my confirmation mentor! (I haven't seen her in a year :( )
- I met a dude that has hair like Bingo's who is infinitely more awkward. He coincidentally goes to the school that our school's current band director used to work at. Freaky.
- I had some FROZEN CUSTARD and it was good.
- I gave some money to a dude playing guitar in front of the empty shell of my (deceased) favorite restaurant!
- I met a kid who gave me three balls; he was so adorable!
- I gave another bored-looking kid one of the balls and that made his day.
- I GOT TO HAVE THE BEST HOTDOGS IN THE CITY. Love.
- Free shirt !
Boo Things About Today:
- I'm sick.
- Eugh.
- Nasty coughdrop things that are worse than the OTHER nasty coughdrop things... and don't help as much.
- Grape juice from concentrate.
- Molly, Dumbo, Rorito, and Bingo went to lunch... without me. Dangit.
- People have been FAILING at texting me. All day. Just Elphaba, who is OFFICIALLY MY FAVORITE FRIEND! (take that, Molly!)
- I didn't get to go to the Jazz Band Festival, which Flailure and Kitterbee were at... :(
- It started raining while I was Downtown; and I'm wearing a white shirt.
- The rain was REALLY cold. And I'm wearing a white shirt.
- THE DANG WHITE WHITE SHIRT TURNED SEE-THROUGH-LY. >:o
- The best hotdog place in town RAN OUT OF PRETZELS.
- I'm still sick.
- My shoes are soaking wet, too.
- Jack Hanna's ANIMAL ADVENTURES is on. Eugh.
- Cat that speaks? Seriously? Riiiiight.
Basically, today was failish overall.
I wanted to go to lunch! *cries*
I mean, I know Rorito said she doesn't like Dumbo, but that doesn't mean he won't like her. Which would be awful... since I like him. And he's completely oblivious... I think. *hides*
I feel so bad for Elphaba! Her drama is so much worse than mine! My drama is pretty straightforward, but hers is all complicated and stupid and such a completely unfair situation for her to be in. (Sorry, Bingo; shan't tell!)
RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY, COME AGAIN ANOTHER DAY.
Oh, that reminds me! Madame started singing some strange kid's song in French the other day... I found it on youtube! (BEWARE: it's annoying)
- "If I Were A Butterfly" (Christian Children's song)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6aEImDGLc0
(fyi, she's a peacher's wife and director of music at his church, which explains this entire thing. Sorta.)
In order to make up for that, here's an AWESOME song by Hank Green (who shares a birthday with Molly. Hanko de Mayo/Cinco de Hanko. Go watch the vlogbrothers and you'll understand.); he is ALSO the brother of John Green, an AWESOME AUTHOR.
- "I Know (A Song in Ten Words)" by Hank Green
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lRldr2BH2M
Anyway, I'm going to end this now and go wallow, work on Molly's birthday present, and attempt to be artistic. Whee.
Quote for Today:
"We're looking for someone who doesn't like orange rabbits."
~Quoted from Elphaba; it was in the Mentalist (as in the TV show)
I just like that quote. So random! <3

The Chickens are Restless (In My Pants)
hihi!
We're MAlly. Molly and Aly, that is.
We're twins! But not really. We look nothing alike, yet people seem to believe that we are actually related for long periods of time. Oh well. We wear the same shirt and pants on the same day. That sounds awkward. WE HAVE CLONED CLOTHING.
We're on a quest for book titles that you can add "In My Pants" to the end of that are really funny. (Inspired by the vlogbrothers! YAY!) The best we've found so far is "The Chickens are Restless" (in my pants). Until Bingo suggested "The Big Friendly Giant" (in my pants).
Bingo is being stupid, besides the great title he gave us. HE WON'T SHARE THE EVIL PLAN THAT INVOLVES HALF OF US. ME. Yeah.
And he's being a wall.
*kicks wall*
It's lateish, and we should be learning our script for a MASSIVE PROJECT, but that's not working out so well.
Molly: *whispers* HEY! *yells* GIVE ME THAT! *weirdvoice* It's mine.
Aly: YOU DID THAT WRONG! ALL WRONG! R-O-N-G! RONG!
Molly: *fakecries* how should I do it, then?!
Aly: That was an interrobang statement! YAY! oh, right. Script.
Molly: heh. cackcackcack. *innocentface*
Aly: *hits innocentface with script*
Molly: YOU HAS A MESSAGE! IS A QUESTION MARK?!
...yeah....
Oh! I keep turning on the CAPS LOCK button accidentally. Whoops.
Molly got a new puppy today. I think she's crazy. But he's SO CUTE and so awkward, so it's okay. His name is Jake; he's a 5monthold black lab (rescue puppy), whom her OLD dog (Journey, 4. Also a black lab.) seems to think will be leaving soon. But nope.
We decided today that we should do something crazy/productive/involving a video camera. Like our MAlly dance that we keep SAYING we'll videotape, but we never do because we have no time! *schoolhaseatenlife*
We have a purple notebook from the week I tagged along to the beach with Molly's family. My favorite page goes like this:
"Heyyyyyy, cute neighbor boy, where'd you gooooo?"
"In ze uzer house."
"Oh. Zat makes me sad."
"I's sorry."
"OH! HELLICHOPPER!"
"AHHHH!!!!!!!!!"
It makes me laugh. Randomness! :)
I think I'm going to stop writing this now. Whee.
:)

& Molly (for like 2 seconds)
