Growing Up
Aly here, for the first time in a while. Missed me? (I hear that a lot these days, y'know.) It felt like a good time to write on this blog, so here I am.
I talked to Molly this morning before going to school (via Skype), and it was just awesome, despite the fact that she really should have been sleeping and I should have been eating breakfast. She already knows I miss her bunches, but conversations like that make me so glad I'm gone, and don't worry, I'll explain that statement (it's not because I'm missing drama).
The thing about being a foreign place for a long period of time, without your "security blanket", is that is forces you to re-define yourself. When you don't know anybody, not really, you have to figure out who you are all over again and show that to new people. I thought I had myself figured out, or as figured out as any teenager can... but yet, this experience has proven me wrong. The great thing about me being gone is that it's the same for Molly at home, just in a different way. Same surroundings, same people, same self, just the definition of self that comes once you're detached from your "twin", somebody that knows you just as well (if not better) than you know yourself.
I'd already done the religion thing, figuring out what I believe more precisely, and I'm very comfortable with what I believe now-- there's no questioning or uncertainty on my part. For Molly, this hasn't been the case. It's not my place to say, but the reason for her recent very religious posts are that she has finally figured it out for herself. Without me influencing, because that's one thing were we're opposite. The thing is, she's figured out so much more than that while I've been gone, and that conversation this morning showed me that. I've changed, too, but we're still twins and best friends, and I am really happy for her, that she's had the same opportunity to grow, even if the religion thing freaked me out at first.
The truth of the matter is that we're growing up, both of us. Separately and at the same time, but we're growing up in such a way that we'd both have to slap you if you said "growing apart". Oceans can separate us in distance, but at the same time, that's impossible.
It's been four months here (as of tomorrow), but I'm already so different from when I left. I'm different in ways that I LIKE. I feel older, in a good way-- more mature, more understanding. I feel less like a kid mentally; this experience has given me insights into myself and other people, and even my mother. I'm still learning and growing, but without coming here, I don't think it would be the same.
I've just come back from vacation. I'm kind of out of it. That vacation was amazing, and I spent a LOT of time thinking and reflecting, writing and contemplating my time here. What have I accomplished? Many things, but not enough of what I wanted. I'm anxious to start traveling again, to learn more and discover. To continue to prove to myself that I AM capable of all the things I doubt I can do. When I go home, I will be able to say this was the experience of a lifetime, because including the bad things, the timing wasn't wrong. No matter what N says, that I'm too young for this... I know-- for myself-- that the timing was perfect.
My time here will nearly be over in 2 months. The end of a dream, I would have said. In a way, it is. Can it be the end of a dream if I realized a dream I didn't know I had and lived another experience? If it exceeded expectations or disappointed, was it the same dream? I'm not the same person, not exactly... but yes, this is my dream; it's my reality, too.

Disappearing Acts
I was working on writing you a fantastically amazing letter, but, like the amazing postcard to Amdi, it was EATEN (by this room). So, I'll be starting on Draft Two (or rather, Draft 1.2) of that likenow. But I just wanted to pop in and say hello. When're you planning on sending that box? Because I definitely have some things we need to discuss about that ;)
UHMYEAH. I don't really have much to say (as I shall be writing you a letter), but I hope you have been having an awesome snow day... and again tomorrow! xD
Best wishes,
your disappearing twin,

Re-definition
Cromy-Crom (the other XC coach) is back from vacation now. He's a bit concerned about me; not because I missed 8:30 practice yesterday, but my (explanation of) why.
You see, what happened was... I fell asleep at 6:45, which isn't a weird time for me to be going to sleep these days. I got up at 9.
Upon hearing this, he got That Look... the one of "fatherly concern". He drilled me about possible reasons why, which I sheepishly answered, promising to go to bed earlier. Not like it would help.
Anyway, I got more sleep last night, due to the fact that I went to bed earlier, when I felt sickly. I slept until noon today, putting me at a good 8-ish hours of sleep if you factor in my hour-long siesta.
While I was running today, I was thinking about the term "rebonjour". I learned this word when I read Words in a French Life by Kristin Espinasse, a book my dad had found at the used bookstore a few months ago and purchased.
That said, the Frenchies have come up with a way to regree one another, using the ultrapopular term rebonjour.
~From Words in a French Life, pg 236
Hello again.
Now that I think about it, we say "Hello again" to a lot of things. For many people, each day is a "hello again". As in, "hello again, world!", and then they do the same things they have already done.
I am one of these people right now, with the exception of Random Adventures. My life is in a "hello again" stage right now. I don't like it. I'm prone to periods of Urge-to-Flee, where I can't sit still, can't focus, and generally just want to elsewhere, doing something else with my time. I'm not unhappy with my life, per se, but I'm not entirely content with it, either.
This prompts me to ask: why not change?
When there's an issue in your life, something you aren't satisfied with; why not change it? Change your perspective. Change your interactions with people. Change your relationships. Change your activities. Change your focus, your priorities, your use of your time. It's better than saying "hello again" to whatever it is in your life that isn't giving you a fresh new day, EVERY day.
Elphaba is a brilliant person. She notices things about people and situations, and acts to correct problems. Yet, the boy she liked has been confusing her for a few days. She told him about her feelings a few days after he got a girlfriend, and he promised that, despite being unable to respond well to her confession (since he had a girlfriend and was graduating), the two of them would remain friends.
After she shared that message with me, I realized something: my whatever with Dumbo is kinda like that recently. It's not a friendship. It's me, trying to hold on to a boy who has nothing to tie him to me, except the thin WHATEVER-this-relationship-is. It's me being pathetic, sending him an email at midnight and rambling about randomness, texting him when I feel like it, and not expecting an answer.
I think it's time to re-define.
Elphaba's on to something, there; that isn't friendship. What is it, then? Is there a word for a partial relationship? (one word. not two ;))
Re-defining, to me, seems like it is figuring out what is going on with your life, figuring out the reasons behind it, and fixing what you can.
I like the idea; I think I may try to re-define my life and relationships. How do I describe my days? Boring. I would like to say they are all worthwhile, fun, or just good. Am I happy? Not particularly. I'd like to be content, even happy. The problem is figuring out what I need to do to achieve that.
I have a pretty good idea what I need to start with, so I'm going to go do that now.
Best wishes!

Fourth of July Weekend
Okay, so Molly is BACK! In the UNITED STATES!
Except now she's at Christian Camp with Rorito. They have a cabin with Jamber, the AWFULLY TERRIBLE EX-FRESHMAN from the cross-country team last year!
The SAME girl in regards to whom I said the "F" word... for the first time ever. [interesting story...]
I feel sorry for them. That's awful. It's quite amusing, though. I mean... Jamber... she almost got expelled this past year for indecent *cough* actions while at school. She had/has? a fiance... and two Hispanic guys got into a BIG FIGHT over her. The gym teacher jumped on one of them. o.O
Anyway.
This past weekend was AMAZING, despite the fact that I'm sorta-kinda grounded and I have-or-had (I'm not sure) my driving privileges revoked (by my mother. I was home 7 minutes after curfew on Thursday).
Saturday, July 4th
HAPPY BLOW THINGS UP IN HONOR OF OUR NATION'S BIRTHDAY DAY/
Happy Fourth of July/
Happy Independence Day
Saturdays are Long Run Days, but because there weren't many people in town, Coach Wow decided that we would run at The Gardens at 9:00 (a compromise time, since we didn't want to get up). Only four people showed up, plus Coach Wow. She promised us a Special Treat if we showed up, but then Debeast emailed everybody the wrong time, so only those of us who showed up to practice on Friday knew what was actually going on.
As it turns out, The Gardens are a good place to have a long run. At least, they were Saturday. We only went five miles, except for Coach Wow and Shuffle, who were like "LET'S GO SEVEN! JALWOULJFFJLA! :D!"
Which APPARENTLY, was a bad idea, because Coach Wow fell and injured herself. They were just running along, all happy and chatting, and then BAM! Coach Wow tumbles over a root, cuts up her elbow, and possibly breaks her arm. Normally, such an occurrance is very rare, due to the fact that we KNOW where ALL THE ROOTS are. I think it was the mental oddness resulting from the extra mileage. Running that far on a different route is bound to mess with your mind.
The battle wound was bleeding quite a bit, so when they came back (at a much more subdued pace), Nico, Mixtape, and I freaked out. It was pouring blood, and looked awful. Coach Wow spent a while testing her elbow for alignment and any serious injury (like a dislocation), even doing half-pushups to make sure it wasn't broken. Our question was "What if it actually is broken?"... that would have hurt quite a bit. Luckily, she's alright.
The Special Treats she brought for us were ... "Special". Popsicles; Strawberry, Cotton Candy, or Lemonade, with a GUMMY CANDY in the tip. The Gummy Candy was brown and squishy... and tasted awful. Yet we each managed to eat two Popsicles anyway; only 35 calories, whoohoo! :D [pshh. Calories.]
Anyway, after returning home and taking a short (coughnicelongwarmcough) shower, Mom's friends started arriving. They were all late, actually. Karin and her boyfriend, Steve (I don't think his name is Steve but I don't remember his name and he seemed like a Steve) arrived, and then Sue and Bob arrived (an hour...or more... later) with their kids, Laura (who I was tutoring in French for a while) and Brian.
Steve is a new addition to the group, but I know Laura and Brian relatively well. Our families hung out around Christmas, and Brian and I had a 3-hour long Mario Kart Wii battle, which I think he won... by a small margin. So generally, I know him as MarioKartBoy, and I dreaded wasting another three hours of lifetime battling him at a stupid game because we are both so competitive that we refuse to admit defeat.
LUCKILY!, we avoided that this time, though I did almost hurt the boy because he's a Close-Minded-Football-Player-Conservative-Jerkwad. We ended up watching Taken downstairs (in the Cave), and he went on a Rant about How Safe America Is In Regards To Foreign Countries. I ignored his comment, and later looked up international crime rates to prove his stupidity. For the record, I was right, and he is incorrect.
Go America: http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_tot_cri-crime-total-crimes *sarcasm*
Eventually, they left (after Brian and I got into a fight with "Bubbelz", the hardcore 42-oz bottle of Grape Bubbles that Elphaba and I bought at the Dollar Store last movie night), and I fled to Molly's house.
After convincing her parents that we WOULD be home by 7:15 for dinner, Molly and I climbed into my car, only to realize that there was a BIG HUGE RED FIREANT on my seat, heading in the General Direction of my "bahonkus" (as Rorito would say). This, of course, frightened us quite a bit, so we SPAZZZZZED out. There was screaming, jumping, pointing, more screaming, laughter, and yelling. Eventually I banished the ant from the car, and we calmed down enough to buckle up and begin our adventures.
Molly and I drove around for an hour or so, with the intent of creeping people like Bingo, Crant, and Benjamin. This plan failed because Bingo wasn't home, and we knew Benjamin wouldn't be home for awhile. So, we called Our Sophomore, Nwells, and informed her that we'd be coming to see her momentarily. But of course, I got lost in the three blocks from Bingo's house to Nwell's. We called again for directions, before realizing that I had passed it. By the time I parked in her driveway, the two of us were in hysterics again, and Nwells seemed a bit scared for our sanity.
Once we learned that Nwell's older brother wasn't home, we glanced at the time and grammed out of there, slower than a waterbuffalo running a 200 meter race. We scrambled (like eggs) to Benjamin's house to hear about his GIRLFRIEND FROM CAMP IN TEXAS! The story is cute. Shy, awkward, nerdy love. Awww. :)
We realized that we have made a Big Impact on his life, due to his Hug Training. Without the Hug Training, he wouldn't have Hugged his Girlfriend, which would be downright shameful. Thankfully, though, Benjamin is well-skilled in giving and receiving hugs now.
Once we had all the dirt on Benjamin and his Shy, Awkward, Nerdy Love, we proceeded to Crant's house, ran in for five minutes, told him the very abbreivated tale, and then fled once more. We confused his mother; she's used to us barging in and refusing to leave for large amounts of time.
...That's kind of sad, actually.
After consuming Tiny "Great American" (ORGANIC! Therefore okay!) Burgers on Large Sesame Seed Buns (to Compensate), we drove to my house until Molly's parents could pick us up to take us to see Fireworks. Except we forgot about our earlier Grand Scheme to kidnap Benjamin, so we wasted quite a bit of time on the road exiting my neighborhood, stalling with Monkeyface and her parents in the car, looking like a weird cluster of creepy people. Once we finally got ahold of the oh-so-elusive Benjamin, we sped over to his house, picking up him and Griffen, his friend and neighbor, whom Rorito hates for a silly reason.
Then... we went to see Failworks, because there was never a big enough BOOM!, and the show was rather uninteresting. Elphaba had amazing fireworks in FL, but here in NC, they lack enthusiasm or entertainment.
When I got home, Dad and I decided to watch Raising Arizona, which had memorable quotes (I'll put some at the end). I texted some of them to Dumbo and Elphaba, but Dumbo was a Lameface and never responded. He probably was a bit scared. Oh well. Elphaba thought it was funny, but then again, we send retarded quotes to each other on a regular basis. I got really sleepy après (after) drinking purple/indigo soda and eating lots of ice cream, but that wore off quickly once I went to my room. I stayed up until 3 or 4 AM, which is relatively early for me these days, and then slept until 11:30ish the next day.
Sunday, July 5th
Molly and I, being the amazing people that we are, decided to go to a late lunch at the Bagel Bakery, after which, we planned to Creep Bingo and claim our presents from his trip to Costa Rica.
Little did we know, when we entered the Bagel Bakery, that Bingo, as well as Forester, were already there... eating sandwiches. Just like we were about to do. It was a really freakily random coincidental "life-event". There were lots of hugs, and when Molly and I bought Giant Cinnamon Rolls with a Lot of Frosting, the two of them employed begging, pleading, puppy dog eyes, and other methods of beseeching while trying to convince us to share. Eventually, we shared and they proclaimed our great kindness. "Thriller" played, so Forester danced in his seat... but refused to get up to dance, because the choreographer from the play he and Bingo are in was at the Bagel Bakery as well.
Afterwards, the four of us drove to Bingo's house to retrouvez (retrieve) our cadeaux (gifts); Forester and I realized that our cars are Family-- we both have '01 Subarus [he has a Forester, of course; I have an Outback... the same color as his mother's Outback, coincidentally]. He declared that we MUST go "off-roading" sometime. Whee! [Oh, presents! Bingo got me a necklace with pink-orange beads and Molly a dog figure with a sign that says "WELCOME!" in Spanish, except that broke, so SuperDuperGlue.]
Finally, we had to leave... because Molly was leaving for Christian Camp with Rorito, and hadn't finished packing. I drove away just as Rorito came to pick her up.
Monday, July 6th
I couldn't fall asleep until 6:45 this morning, and I was supposed to run at 8:30. I woke up at 9. That's kind of sad, actually.
I wasted most of my day until 4ish, when I drove over to the Theatre to pick up Bingo, and DID NOT GET LOST! (That's new.) We drove to the Grocery Store, where we saw Molly's mom, who gave me 50 million hugs because she misses Molly quite a bit and I'm her "daughter". Kangaroo-kiddo was late, so I ate stinky cheese, which I had to follow up with cookies to get rid of the ew taste. The three of us -illegally ;)- drove around the creepy side of town, upon realizing that the restaurant we were going to was closed.
We eventually ended up at Mayberry's, a local ice cream shop. Bingo failed and copied my food, and then the waitress gave us "God Herpes" (don't ask). Kangaroo-kiddo is a Custard Snob, so we drove to the OTHER side of town (DOWNTOWN!), drove around looking for a parking spot, parked the wrong way, became confused by a parking meter, were frightened by a garbage truck, and finally, thieved custard from her dad's store (where she works). As it turns out, Kangaroo-kiddo does have a reason to be a Custard Snob... SO YUMMY! :D
Randomly, Rhymenoceros called Bingo (they had a Big Fight a few days ago and this was the first time they had spoken to each other since), prompting another trip BACK to the other side of town, to Rhymenoceros's house, where Forester was, too. Kangaroo-kiddo and I weren't invited to stay; Rhymenoceros isn't overly fond of me, it would seem.
The two of us had our revenge though; I now know where Rhymenoceros lives, and Kangaroo-kiddo directed me to Forester's house, where I met his mother. She is quite awesome, and does in fact have a twin car.
Now I've been home for a long time. I haven't accomplished anything except re-designing the blog template. (You like? :)) [Credit goes to some random person on some random site that I really don't remember the name of. oops.]
I have a headache. Ow.
I need to get something down now, though.
I hate insomnia.

I WANT OUT OF HERE.
Dangit.
I can't tolerate being HERE anymore.
This house is AWFUL when my dad is away. He's off visting friends in other states, which is great, but I miss him. Being here with my mother and my brother only proves what I've known for years; I can't live with her.
She pushes me so easily. With little effort, she goes from kind to furious, and suddenly, she's yelling at me and I'm frustrated and yelling back. Defending myself, but it doesn't help.
So I end up sitting, with my back to her, blasting music and wishing that I couldn't hear her criticisms and her complaints. Her reason for anger is my procrastination, my different methods of work. She's upset because she lost the job she hoped to get, because of the poor words of her sources, the people she thought had a good view of her.
I don't BLAME her for taking her annoyance out on me, but I don't like it. I understand why she's upset, but I don't want to deal with that. She has the right to be annoyed, but she doesn't have to take it out on me.
I'm used to it, though. I am the scapegoat. She and I are complete opposites. It's easy for her to divert her anger onto me. I respond how she wants-- with anger. Until I give in and sit, with my back to her, holding back my harsh words; shaking from the effort.
I want out of this city. I am bored. I am sick of online school. There's nothing fun here, nothing to distract me. My friends feel like they're hundreds of miles away. Everybody is busy with their own thing, even if they're here. I'm trapped, though. I can't escape. I am obligated to stay, for school and cross-country. But I would rather be elsewhere.
I want out of my current situation.
My parents need to get a divorce. It would be DONE if Mother hadn't lost her job. My dad has his own company now-- which is helping. It's giving him the independence he craves, but he needs her support; at least in matters of money. I think that's how it's been for a while. They've stuck together for convenience. If they had a way to choose, they'd choose what is best for all of us. We're all stuck.
I want out of the mindset I've had for a few weeks. I want my sleep cycle back; I go to bed at 2 AM or later most days, and then I lie for hours, willing dreams to come. I can't break the cycle.
I feel terrible for Kitterbee. Her dog (Butterscotch! Molly's buddy!) is having surgery in less than an hour that he may not survive. I know the terrifying feeling of your dog's life hanging in the balance. I went through it two years ago, and yet I have no words of wisdom. All she can do is pray for the best. I'm hoping for the best, too. Butterscotch is so sweet, and doesn't deserve to die.
Worse than that, she found cigarettes in her mom's purse recently. She thought her mom quit a few years ago, after Kitterbee found cigarettes in her purse and freaked out. Her mom is like an adopted mom to "KATAM" and it SUCKS that she's doing something so awful to herself. Kitterbee hid her freak-out well, though; her mom doesn't know that she found the cigarettes. Her dad doesn't know. Kitterbee is lost about what to do; how do you tell your MOTHER that what she's doing is wrong? How do you deal with a parent's poor decisions? [Again, I have no idea.]
Argh, this is completely unhelpful. I need to rant properly. Too bad my rant-people are scattered around; Bingo's in Costa Rica on a mission trip (he SAID he'd be online earlier but wasn't), Flailure just came home from California and is sleeping, Molly's in EUROPE (without internet now), and Elphaba is... not online.
... Back to Online School now. Almost caught up with AFM, sorta. I'm not enjoying this.
*fighting the urge to flee*
Goodness. Somebody get online. Please.
-Aly
Aly is INCREDIBLY Bored
Online School is stupid.
I'd rather be not here.
People need to answer texts.
I should not be blogging right now.
But I'm really bored.
I'll probably delete this later.
Because it serves no purpose.
I have a new fictional love! SHHHH!
Actually, it's not a secret.
I don't have secrets.
... Really. I don't HAVE any secrets right now. Not. Even. One. (of my own, that is)
Movie night is tomorrow night, and that will be the ONLY interesting thing I do all week. Fail. :(
Time to go finish tests (that I've taken twice/thrice already; I'm losing count).
HAVE A GREAT DAY!

We Are The Champions
NO MORE SCHOOL. Well, sorta.
So far, this summer has been AMAZING and I really hope it continues :)
Friday: LAST DAY OF SCHOOL
My last exam was a Algebra II, which is an EOC class... and the exam period was HOURS LONG. It was FREEZING COLD in there, and I was isolated off in the corner by the wall, which meant that I got the FULL BLAST of the A/C (and I was in shorts and t-shirt, prepared for the room to be sweltering like it always is) and therefore became an uncomfortable ice cube for three hours. Twas not fun.
After the exam ended (after a few interruptions by annoying people who celebrated the end of the school year while the lucky EOC classes were still testing...*hate*), I met up with Bingo, Rhymenoceros, Crant, Finch, Astronaut, and Molly and we walked to the local Mexican restaurant. (Dumbo was being lame and left without really even saying goodbye to Bingo, who is his best friend... really? FAIL.)
The walking was pretty fun in itself; there was randomness, crazy running (because MAlly and Astronaut run XC; Crant's a sprinter), and lunch lead to amazing quotes. Bingo decided that Rhymenoceros wins the creepy competition out of the seven of us, though Molly and I (as MAlly) come in second, and Astronaut is third-creepiest. [Rhymenoceros only proved that later, but I'll get to that.]
Once lunch was over, Finch and Rhymenoceros unexplicably disappeared, while the rest of us went to the Park, where we met up with Yos, Bluefly, and peeps (I'm too lazy to come up with blog names for the rest of them right now, so...). Molly and I decided that since our old middle school was right there, we might as well go pay a visit. That was fun (we had to run all over trying to find teachers) but it was kind of sad because some/most of them didn't remember us immediately, or at least what grade we were in. We forgive them though, because they are still awesome. We stole all of Chuck's tootsie roll pops that he keeps for his students because he owes us from the many times we've visited him before and he didn't have any.
Upon returning to the park, Molly fell in mud and injured herself, so she decided that we would go creek-romping. We invited Astronaut, Crant, and Bingo along, and once everybody disbanded to go wherever, Astronaut walked home, and Crant's mother picked the rest of us up so that Crant and Bingo could get romp-clothing.
Under NORMAL circumstances, having four (hyper) teenagers in the car would be dangerous... but when we actually proved why, there was only three of us (Molly, Bingo, and I).
We found really melted chocolate in my purse, and somehow we decided to smear it all over each other... while still in the car. We then proceeded to have a chocolate war and got chocolate all over our faces and each other, and generally made a rukus. It smelled AWFUL; apparently the scent of sweaty teenagers, melted chocolate, and hot car is gross (who knew? =P), so the three of us had to clean up in Crant's kitchen. His mom didn't seem that surprised, though she and Crant seemed a bit horrified by the astonishing amount of chocolate that we had on us. It took quite a while to get it all off, and even then, we still smelled like chocolate.
(Then we went to Bingo's house and nothing interesting really happened, other than MAlly fridge failure and Bingo creeping Molly and Crant as they had an *ehrm* moment on the back of his car.) Bingo transported Crant, Molly, and I as illegal immigrants (SHHH!) and we had fun car adventures blasting music on his retarded radio and playing mind tic-tac-toe, which I am still not very good at.
When we (finally) got to Molly's house, we learned that Astronaut had already been there for close to 20 minutes (poor guy). Molly and I changed into romp-clothing (there was a moment of awkward that was even awkward for us, but don't go trying to figure out what) and then the five of us went to the creek.
The water was REALLY HIGH (higher than the last time we took Astronaut and Crant romping) and VERY MUDDY and VERY cold. But of course, it was still amazingly fun. (We had a mud-fight, which was really fun and involved mud-love.)
Later, we returned to Molly's house to rinse off, run around like idiots, eat, and play with the hose in her driveway. Rhymenoceros and two of Bingo's other friends creeped Molly's house by driving through EVERY neighborhood along the road that they knew she lived off of until they found us. They then kidnapped Bingo (to take him to a concert at the RibFest), and left Crant, Molly, Astronaut, and I to have much less fun that before. We basically ended up in the basement, where Crant and Molly shared a blanket and made Astronaut and I feel awkward.
Eventually, Astronaut's dad came to get him (since he had ridden his bike to Molly's) and Molly's mom drove Crant and I home, though she EXPLODED first, so that was a really awkward car ride. I abandoned the poor guy to her mercy because I got dropped off first... poor guy.
(Sometime that day, I got sunburnt...and it was only the first day of summer... fail.)
SATURDAY:
Not as awesome as Friday, but only because Molly and I (as well as all the other band/orchestra/chorus kids that actually came) had to sit through a VERY LONG graduation ceremony while they FROZE US with the air conditioning. (WHY must there always be FREEZING?!) Luckily, Hosef let me steal his jacket (it swallowed me whole) but then I got CHOMPED by Mrs Eggburt for talking to the flutes. And I remembered why we dislike her.
The stupid band director made Pomp & Circumstance FAR TOO COMPLICATED, which made it impossible for us to watch the seniors go by, because usually, if we just play the same thing over and over again, we can just sit there and play mechanically. Argh. So, I didn't get to ogle My Pants as he went by (though I did see him as he walked back to his seat after graduating and he predictably looked adorable). We cheered for people we knew crossing the stage, and Elphaba yelled "McDONALDS!" as Prettyhair crossed the stage, but you couldn't hear her :(. Boringness.
Pomp and Circumstance is SERIOUSLY cruel and unusual punishment. Stupid Dumbo and Bingo weren't there (Dumbo because he moved and Bingo because he SOMEHOW got out of playing YET AGAIN) to suffer with the rest of us.
After the ceremony was over and we were released, I saw some of my senior friends (Orchestra and XC kids, mainly), and then Mr History congratulated me on "singing well" (I'm in orchestra...fail...). I'll miss him next year; the School Board is sending him to a stupid little middle school where they won't appreciate his amazingness. Way to go, School Board; take away the tenured teacher that has been with our school for most of its life.
And then Molly and I went to the End of Year/Surprise Going Away Party for our German Friend (we'll call him "Munchen", like Munich, Germany; an amazing city). That was amazingly fun, as expected, and there were A LOT of people there (including Kangaroo-kiddo and Vodkakitten). We made a whirlpool by holding hands and going in a HUGE circle, until it pulled us into the deep end. We also "jousted" and generally acted like idiots.
When we decided to move the party to Animaid's house, Crant had to bike home and change clothes, so Molly and I stalked him there in my car while blasting and singing along with Queen. He wasn't very happy with us. XD (then we got lost, because we have a great sense of direction? o.O)
...and the awesomeness continued.
(I would write about it in detail but I am FAR TOO LAZY.)
SUNDAY: (today)
RibFest with Molly, which was fail until we discovered the hidden corner with the band of awesome. Kitterbee and Bingo (went on a date tonight) showed up in my driveway (CREEPERS, but I'm used to it and expect it sorta, because Bingo has done so before) and kidnapped me. I thought I had misplaced my phone in a salad, and then the three of us went to Rorito's and surprised her. Twas fun and I'm sick of blogging so whatever.
Now I'm eating cake and I have to get up early tomorrow to go get Molly, then go running. YAY XC TRAINING! *blargh*
Online School starts tomorrow, so summer's basically over. w00t. :(

Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
Dumbo finally gave me an answer. Not the one I wanted, but I'm honestly okay with it. It makes sense and I understand that it is the best decision for both of us. I missed him as a friend, so I'm glad things are back to normal(ish) now. Though it makes me sad that if circumstances were a bit different, the answer might have been, too. Can't change it; he's leaving in a day anyway.
Molly, being my twin, got me HAWAIIAN SWEET ROLLS at the grocery store yesterday! She brought them to me this morning. I'm almost done now. I shared... some... O:). They are my version of "crack"; just like Jedi Princess's "crack" is cheddar/sour cream chips. AMAZINGNESS.
My english exam (powerpoint...which was more fail than I wanted it to be due to INTERNET FAILURE because of that storm last night...lightning hit my house and it was very scary and insane and such.) is OVER, and I had a laugh attack near the end of King Toast's because he was demonstrating "sneaking around to find food" and I -laughlaughlaugh-ed. I may have been the only one who couldn't stop laughing... as always. :)
After lunch (where I saw Dumbo/talked to him sorta and got hugs and then a large group of people left campus, not sure if they left "legally" or not but whatever. I had a note to go at 2 and I didn't want to get in trouble so I didn't.) and the COMPLETELY FAIL MATH REVIEW, I signed out, only to discover that my family FORGOT ABOUT ME. So, I went to the guidance office and picked up my MASSIVE MATH TEXTBOOK for the stupid online class I have to take over the summer because of France (<3) and it is BIGGER THAN MY CURRENT MATH BOOK, which is R-O-N-G, WRONG. [ESPECIALLY since this math class is basically three chapters of my current math class...]
Andddd then I sat outside for too long and a dude I haven't talked to in a very long time because he randomly FIMed me once and it was rather creepy of him started talking to me; I started texting people and then Elphaba convinced me to come to the band room, where they were playing various card games.
I really have to wonder, what is UP with band kids and card games? Is it some moth-to-light thing? Elphaba and I listened to songs on her ipod and learned how to swing-dance, sorta. It looks really silly when you don't have a partner, which is why we wanted to learn it. :D
Edward complains that he has two favorite songs right now; I think that's pretty reasonable, since I have about five favorite songs right now. YAY! (He also informs me that I am very ADD and he wrote very nice things in my yearbook on the Pepsi page that I've been trying to convince people to sign on for awhile, but nobody has been awesome enough.)
(Elphaba is partially to blame. Her and Youtube and Pandora. They just keep ADDING to the list!)
- "Let Go" by Frou Frou
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x52w8txtiQs - "Fighting for Nothing" by Meg & Dia
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAGlkcJhcKU - "Headlock" by Imogen Heap (AND the video is amazing!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKZsZkH_MJc - "Die Alone" by Ingrid Michaelson
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9POTasT5umE - Nearly any Imogen Heap or Frou Frou song, basically. Obsession. :) Quite a few Meg & Dia songs as well ("Monster" is about creepers which is basically amazing.)
Elphaba and I are so weird, which is cool... because what we are weird about is something that is rather useful to maintaining sanity. Too bad Dorothy is this brand of weird; it would be easier for her that way. Movie Night time soon, I hope... except I'm SUPER BUSY this weekend.
Flailure ABANDONED ME the other day to go to CALIFORNIA with his dad and fraternaltwin (who I may have to Boy-Chomp, depending on his levels of stupidity) and hopefully distract himself from the boy he likes with fun touristy things. I'll have a LOT to catch him up on when he gets back, which is annoying, but sure makes for interesting conversation.
He's my rant-receiver, but really needs this vacation to sort out his feelings for the whore-boy that he's been pining over. The whore-boy that's been messing with his head and heart for a couple weeks. Poor Flailure... it's gotten really awkward for him. Him and his brother keep making nonsense plans with me for randomness next year, which is awesome, but I realize that I could just go to church on Sundays and see them.
WHY HAS THIS FAILED ME?! Whatever I write *RIGHT HERE* keeps going *poof* and it is VERY ANNOYING. (MOLLY, ARE YOU KILLING IT? OR IS IT JUST THE WEBSITE BEING STUPID?)

Dear Dumbo; I Kinda Hate Your Guts.
I would normally EXCLAIM HAPPINESS at people. But I have been teetering on the edge of insanity for three days.
But he (yes; Dumbo) is:
Driving me crazy. Killing me with my own impatience. I am Unable to function.
[Rant to nobody in particular/Dumbo]
You KNOW this. I have TOLD YOU that you are like HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE or something--- you keep giving me heart attacks. Have you seen 'em? Y'know, when I completely freak out, scream, and DIVE INTO CORNERS? Where I'm torn between wishing that you'll see me and praying that you are oblivious. Where I hope that you'll come up to me and give me a hug and stop tormenting me.
"You have placed me in quite an annoying situation," you say (over a text because I can't speak to you in person now, dammit). ANNOYING SITUATION?! ANNOYING SITUATION?! I WILL GIVE YOU AN "ANNOYING SITUATION"!
An ANNOYING FRICKING SITUATION is me diving into corners to avoid you. An "ANNOYING SITUATION" is you taking days to make up your mind. An ANNOYING SITUATION is my mother expending a lot of effort to convince me that your lack of response means that no matter what, it's a no and she's seen this coming for years and quite frankly, I'm starting to believe her.
An annoying situation is one of my best friends telling me that "drama" is her continual wish to talk to her boyfriend, when CLEARLY I'm having a CRISIS. Another annoying situation is that I am so FRUSTRATED with you right now that I honestly kinda hate you. An annoying situation is my inability to eat, to sleep, and your constant presence in my mind.
Most annoyingly is the fact that you aren't giving me an answer and you can just move away and never look back at the girl that is dying over YOU. That, my friend, is ANNOYING.
Grow some and give me a fricking answer. This is ridiculous.

In Between Here and There is Now
Hihi!
THIS WEEKEND HAS BEEN COMPLETELY MADE OF AWESOME. I kid you not. Too bad it's now exam week again. :(
FRIDAY:
School was, of course, very blah and such. Exam that took 15ish minutes (excluding my FAIL with erasing; I mean, really. That took 10 minutes of life.) followed by two "study sessions" of boredom and failness. Whee?
After school and being a lazybutt for an hour or so, I drove over to Elphaba's to pick her up and then on to Kitterbee's, to illegally transport both of them to Starbucks and then the school talent show.
Cromy-crom was BEHIND ME IN HIS CAR AND IT FREAKED ME OUT. I seriously spazzed for ten minutes when he was behind me. It was awful. I would say that Elphaba was a bit concerned for my sanity at that point, but due to the fact that she was hanging over the back of the passenger-side seat, I don't believe she was that flabbergasted. And she knows me, so my insanity is altogether normal.
Anyway, we went to Starbucks... after I failed and drove all the way to the school parking lot before realizing that we were supposed to be at Starbucks. And then we drank CHOCOLATE FRAPPUCINOS (sp?) and ate marshmallows-on-sticks and played games for an hour, before driving up to the school again and meeting up with Rorito. She was angry because we confused her and were almost late.
The talent show was amazing except for the expected sound failings and the fact that I screamed about my brain exploding when it was almost over. But a lot of my friends who I haven't seen in awhile were there, so that was really great!
AFTERWARDS, there was scrambling/running around crazily/trying to figure out transportation because Rorito and I were spending the night with Kitterbee and there's curfew and blah-blah-blah. I stuck Bingo with driving Rorito and Kitterbee in his Crapmobile because he and Kitterbee go out now so HA.
When I made it (IN RECORD TIME! sorta.) to Kitterbee's, Bingo was still there, and there was a lot of piano-playing and singing and such. I dislike that, because I don't sing nor do I play piano, so I feel all left out and that is really uncomfortable. Bingo went home, and Kitterbee, Rorito, and I were pretty calm, which was odd. I read a book that Kitterbee handed me because it had a happy ending and I do love books with expected, cliche, fairy-tale happy endings. The three of us slept in the same bed, which resulted in amusing quotes.
SATURDAY:
After sitting in the back of Rorito's mom's convertible Bug (WHICH I LOVE. It's like sticking your head out of a window like a dog!!!!) for an hour or so while the Mommies chatted, they dropped me off at Molly's. We put on running shorts (no taking off our underwear in the middle of a field this time! YAY!) and went on the Trail.
It was all muddy, so we sorta mud-skated around, before hopping over to Reharrison's house to see/convince him to puddle-sit with us. He wasn't home and we lost patience, so we went back to the HUGE MUDDY PUDDLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD and sat for a very long time. As we sat there, our hair suddenly grew FIVE FEET LONG, so we freaked out and hopped away, taking care to avoid the dismembered Awkward that apparently had been sharing the puddle with us.
We skipped over to Molly's again, drained the kiddie pool that her mom recently bought (she KNEW we wanted to get in it! She's the one who told us to drain it first because Monkeyturd had put his nasty toeses in it!) and then re-filled it with nice, cool water and sat with Jake in the kiddie pool for a very long time. It was amazing and we had major issues getting out even though we were DYING OF HUNGRY. But we were all chilly from the kiddie pool, so we laid out in her driveway in just running shorts and sports bras. A very strangely girlie moment for us; we're not usually into sunbathing, but I think we have discovered the appeal. You get all warm and the sun is so nice!
Every single time MAlly hangs out, we get the CRAVING to capture a Mexican and fry 'im up, so we did that. (I am JOKING. JOKING. JOKING. We want Mexican food; that's our weirdly-awful way to say that. Sorry if that offends anybody! o.O) SO, we got out 50 million plates and knives and made fantastic tacos! YAY! We followed the Fattie Clubbing with a cat-nap with puffy pillows on the floor of Molly's room.
When we woke up, we were hungry again, so we made cookie dough. Without salt and baking soda, so it would never make it to cookie form. Heck yeah. At that point, we realized that the Alternative Prom (Alt Party) was THAT NIGHT, so we had to come up with costumes. Eventually, we decided on being The Devils On Your Shoulders. Obviously we couldn't be an angel and a devil because Molly has TWO RED CAPES OF AWESOME and we wanted to wear them. We found magicalness and were all excited and such. We are surprisingly good at being devilish ^_^!
Basically, the Alt Party was SUPER FUN and a lot of my/our friends were there; we met some new people, too. Beret, Prettyhair, Peter Pan, Edward, Crant, Farst, Rooster, Yos, and way more. There was food (foodfoodfood) and dancing (like grinding and/or dancing like a whore because that is amazingly fun; I failed a test.) as well as spazzing, sparklers (!), and board games. (Normally, that would be like ehh? but they were fun. Yep.)
At 11:00, Molly's mom picked us up and then I spent the night with her. We texting Dumbo, Rorito, Elphaba, and a lot of people "*DING!* It's sunday! Time to go to church!" at midnightish and surprisingly, we got REPLIES. Dumbo generally is asleep by then so that was particularly odd. He texted me about trebuchets at 1:34 (as in AM) and that was very confusing to my sleep-addled self at 8something when we woke up.
SUNDAY:
Molly and I decided that we needed PLANS WITH PEOPLE today, so we called Astronaut (whose number I creeped off Bingo's phone) and informed him (we don't ask) that he was going to come creek-romping with us at 1:30. Rorito, Crant, Kitterbee, Benjamin, King Toast, and Bingo were all invited, but it ended up being MAlly, Rorito, Kitterbee, Astronaut, and Crant. Molly and I ate leftover cookie dough for breakfast.
Rorito was EARLY since she lives in Molly's neighborhood and the three of us just hung out and were bored for awhile before everybody else showed up. Bingo was auditioning for a role in Rent at the local theatre, so he couldn't make it (we told him to break a leg and a foot), so he couldn't make it and both Molly and I had to be Replacement-boyfriends for Kitterbee because she missed him. It was cute!
Creek-romping was AMAZINGLY fun except for the part where:
- Rorito injured herself
- Crant got sand and rocks in my bra, and I had to get them out...
- THERE WAS A SNAKE. A BIG SNAKE. IN THE WATER. SORTA. BUT NOT REALLY. AND IT WAS AHHHHH!!!!! (I am afraid of snakes. Apparently.)
The weekend is over now; it's exam week (sorta) again, drama continues (I have a chorus of six-or-so-people encouraging me to ask Dumbo out and Flailure is... well, flailing. Poor boy.), and I HAVE SHINTS. (Shin splints. From fail. Yuck.)
Last week of school!
WHOO!
Best of luck on any exams/trials/annoyances/drama in your life :)

It's Worth it to Get Up in the Morning
Hihi!
Now, I would not say today has been an AMAZING day, because it certainly hasn't.
Exams and study sessions and all.
Y'know, I have never considered myself a "morning person", but I'm discovering that I'm not exactly NOT a morning person.
Due to weather and coloring books, Molly and I did not run yesterday afternoon, as we originally planned. My dad had mentioned to me that I should run in the morning, so that is what we decided to do.
So, each of us got up at 6:00 (as in AM) and went running.
This run wasn't about pace, length (time or distance), or the course. It was about running for the sake of the experience. To train for cross-country and to center ourselves.
If you have NEVER run for the sake of running, please, get a pair of running shoes and go. Don't plan where you're running. Just have your time and know where to start. Have music if you need it (I do). Take it slow. Run as long as you feel like it. Walk if you need to. Stop and stretch. Run again when you're ready. You could say it's a jog-- but the mentality of it; the feeling of flying and the will to drive forward, that's all running. That's you on the road when the sun's low in the sky, alone, seeing only the mist rising above the lake and the green of the woods in spring. Those are your feet on the wet pavement; your legs propelling you forward; your breathing. That is your heartbeat in your chest, giving you strength. And when it's over, that is your sweat that you wipe off your face. Those are your muscles; stronger. Your mind is calm. Your body hurts. And that is a freaking amazing run.
Go run. Run early, before anybody else.
You won't regret it.
I don't, and I know Molly agrees.
<3,

Unexpected Sadness
Okay, so; you know that teacher that you've had forever and you aren't so in love with their class anymore? The teacher that you often think you may hate, yet you know that you still like them and they're pretty cool. Well... I found out today that teacher... is leaving.
Now, if my eyes would cooperate, I would properly cry and show how upset I am, but I just can't do that. But it's very upsetting and I'm really sad about it and it REALLY SUCKS. I would have said I wouldn't care; I'm quitting her class (yes, it's Mrs Eggburt) anyway, so it doesn't affect me.
But I've had her since SIXTH GRADE and I'm rather attached. She has seen/heard me do EMBARRASSING things (pretty recently... *hides*) and she's known me since I was a really shy, scrawny sixth grader with no friends.
Dumbo and the Band Kids are like "YAY!"; they had her husband and aren't particularly fond of her. That's really sad... we all know she isn't the nicest teacher ever and we don't love her all the time but she CARES about us and wants us to succeed. That's why she pushes us hard, and even if we don't enjoy her class... it's still important. I don't know how to rationalize it.
Anyway, I'm sad...
Bleh...
BUT I JUST READ AN AWESOME BOOK.
The Decoy Princess by Dawn Cook; I bought it with change during the expedition into nerd-dom with Rorito yesterday. :)
(Quick Drama Update: Flailure is having boy troubles, Bingo is having man-whore confusion, Elphaba doesn't like Fiyero anymore and may tell the guy she likes now that she likes him, and Dumbo is leaving too soon for my liking.)
... My eyes just decided to cooperate with my mood. They seem to be leaking. :'(

Kyle Valkyle and the Twenty-Seven Steves
Aly YET AGAIN because Molly seems to have an affliction that keeps her from blogging. Fail.
Anyway, Molly's party finally happened, and it was insanely awesome.
See, Molly's mom decided that the theme would be a "Scavenger Hunt" so we were forced to RUN ALL OVER her neighborhood to find things. It was INSANITY. I mean, you set 9 teenagers lose in a neighborhood and you expect it to be organized??
HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were seperated into two groups; the losing group had to create a happy birthday skit for Molly using items her mother chose.
The groups were:
1. Molly: Kangaroo-Kiddo, Benjamin, Bingo, Stickenchicken
2. Rorito: Aly, Reharrison, Crant
I think our team had the advantage... both Rorito and Reharrison live in Molly's neighborhood. Yay! We won. After getting all scratched up and attacked by nettles/bugs/thornyobjects, got lost, and drove CRAZILY AROUND HER NEIGHBORHOOD in order to win. But we didn't have to do the skit and the skit that Bingo, Benjamin, Stickenchicken, and Kangaroo-kiddo did was FREAKING AMAZING besides. We couldn't have beat that!
After all that awesome ended, we played Picture Telephone three-- or was it four?-- times which was completely fun insanity. We are brilliant geniuses (geniui!). And ate cake. And about five pounds of M&Ms. And I almost died because I started laughing while eating M&Ms and drinking water (don't ask). YAY!
Eventually, everybody left ( :( ), and Kangaroo-kiddo, Rorito, and I all spent the night which was mostly awkwardness, because like a few other sleepovers I've been at lately it was all *divisionly* and that was FAILISH.
Yeah. Kangaroo-kiddo and Molly will eat me when they read that. But honestly. It wasn't the best thing that has ever happened.
SOYEAH.
Today was pretty cool; Rorito and I had adventures involving nerd-dom, mud, and the outdoors. I'm pretty content. :)

Fattie Club
XC season is coming up quickly and THE FATTIE CLUB is still around. What?!
Oh yeah.
*eats a few bowls of ice cream*
*feels fat*
*feels guilty*
*decides to run*
*decides is "too busy" to run*
*feels guilt about not running*
*feels guilt about excuses for not running*
*eats more ice cream*
*feels fat*
and the cycle continues.
*is too lazy to break the cycle*
I really don't have much to say.
*is boring*
...this is SO FAIL!
Almost as much as me not being able to figure out my own practice problems... or being unable to stay mad at my friends for very long... meh.
Molly has/had? food poisoning today and yesterday, which I'll say is her excuse for not posting anything. And Sunday was her and Crant's 9-month-anniversary and we had MAlly/Bingo/Crant adventures, which was kinda really awesome. And movies.
Imma go do homework now, and eat more ice cream. Yay Breyer's Mint Chocolate Chip! ♥

FIM is OFFICIALLY AWESOME
Yesterday was awesome and I would write about it but I am BURSTING WITH JOY so I really can't focus on yesterday at the moment.
I AM TALKING TO ANGIE ON FIM (facebook instant messaging). RIGHT NOW. AS IN SHE IS IN FRANCE AND I AM IN MY HOUSE AND WE ARE SPEAKING OVER THE INTERNET.
AND IT IS AWESOME.
AND I AM JOYFUL.
But I seem to be unable to "penser en Francais" as Madame would like... ahhh! I AM TOO EXCITED!
Holy shigoodness, this has made my day like x 59,999 better.
*JOY!*
For Clarification:
I am massively in love with France. The culture, the language, the country. I've wanted to go to France since I can remember and THIS YEAR, I may have the chance to. You see, my dad is good friends with Pierre, who is French-Lebanese and has family in France. He knows of my desire to go to France as an exchange student, and is helping my dad and I plan my trip to France and live with Pierre's sister. This would mean that I could go to France without the restrictions of going through an exchange program, which would be cheaper and safer. We would know the family (sorta) and it would just generally be so much more awesome. Regretfully, Angie (Pierre's niece) and I are TERRIBLE at emailing each other, which is why the FIM conversation makes me so happy. Even though I'm not speaking in French.

*Bang Head Here*
LISTS! WHOOHOO!
(Aly of course!)
Annoyances
- Ms Javelin
Why? SHE IS AN IDIOT. THIS PAPER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE WEEKS AGO, but she has CONTINUALLY FAILED. Reading through her comments on my paper, I seriously doubt her qualification to teach a higher-level English class. - Mrs Eggburt
Why? Somehow, she manages to KNOW that I am quitting orchestra next year; I don't think I've said anything of the sort to her. I am "signed up" for it, so she wouldn't know that way. I have no idea. She's punishing me though, by putting me in the back and CHOMPING on me whenever she can. - English
Why? See number one. Ms Javelin is an idiot. I don't have time for this. I'm okay with the reading. I'm not okay with the bad grade, the bad teacher, or the evil paper. NOT. OKAY. AT. ALL. - Math
Why? I am SO CLOSE to an "A"! Mostly, it's annoying me because this REVIEW BOOKLET we have to do for homework. - People Who Get Cars When They Turn 16
Why? NOT. FAIR. We'll call it jealousy. Whoo. *shame* (I'm just in an annoyance-mood so bear with me). - People Who Don't Text Me Back
Why? Obviously, I want to talk to you. Obviously, I would like you to want to talk to me as well. Obviously, that's not the case. - My mother.
Joyances:
Because I refuse to only be Annoyed.
- Old Typewriters
Why? Clack clack clack clack DING! They are such HAPPY appartuses (apparati?)! The smell of ink, the sound of typing... so awesome. - Pandora
Why? Angry music, thinking music, whiny music, happy music. All at the same place. Best website ever. - Math
Why? I know this makes no sense, because it is an annoyance, but it is also a Joyance. I've gotten two GOOD GRADES on tests/quizzes recently, and that makes me feel much less stupid. I also have a better math grade than I have in english, which makes me more annoyed at english and less at math. - Soft Batch Cookies
Why? I think these are a week or more old, and they still taste DELICIOUS. - Hugs That Last Longer Than Two Minutes
Why? MORE LOVE! YAY! :) - Getting Out of After School Orchestra Early
Why? Escape from Mrs Eggburt - Cell Phones That Have Music Libraries
Why? "Hey, You There!" is always a great addition to lunchtime. - People Who Save You Pages In Their Yearbook Because They Know You Have That Much To Say
Why? I love filling pages! YAY! - Even Numbers
- Wait, that is an Odd Number. Must Add One To List. Here it is. Right Here. This. OH I REMEMBER NOW! ---> Complicated and Genius Plans.
So, there you go. Joyances and Annoyances. I'm still more annoyed than joyed, but that's how the not-Soft-Batch-cookie crumbles. (I'm so ADD).
Hope everybody had a great day!

Good Mornings, Afternoons, and Days
Tis "Alleh". Molleh needs to stop posting whiney I'M SICK! Blogs. Really, Molly? Have you done NOTHING interesting at ALL while being miserably sick? You could just make something up, you know.
Anyway, while Molly has been sick, I have been at SCHOOL. Contrary to Molly's opinion, I am still sick (still coughing, sneezing, sniffling, etc.) but I don't have a fever and generally I can speak.
During the past two days of school, I have had interesting adventures-- and I've had GOOD days.
Thursday:
Like always, I texted "Good morning!" to people: Rorito, Molly, Dorothy, Edward, Sisteramy, and Elphaba. Rorito SNAPPED at me, which made me sad because who SNAPS when somebody wishes them a good morning? Everybody else responded well, but Rorito was like "GRRRR DON'T WAKE ME UP." (I learned later that she had been up since 6:40 so it was excuseable, but I only woker her up a minute before her alarm, so I don't understand what the big deal was.)
Going to school that day, I had a cool conversation with Reharrison.
Aly: *walking towards classroom*
Reharrison: "Good morning!"
Aly: *just inside the doorway; turns around; spazzes out* "YOU SAID GOOD MORNING! THAT'S GOOD!"
Reharrison: "I always say good morning. Cuz it IS a good morning!"
Aly: "I text Good Morning to people! And it is a good morning. But Rorito snapped at me this morning. :("
Reharrison: "Oh, that sounds like her. You see, this is why I can't be the replacement Rorito. I'm a morning person."
Aly: "You may have a point. Maybe."
Reharrison: *smirk + grin*
Aly: "Well, see you in Chem...."
Reharrison: "Bye, Aly."
It was random and it made me laugh. Mostly because the spaz about it was not a small spaz. It was this crazed, whirlling, spin-dance of "AHA!".
The day continued to be good, even though Molly was not in Civics. I didn't pay attention and instead wrote in Seussgirl's yearbook in the colorful pens Molly gave me last year after going to Charleston. :)
*skipping to lunch*
Since I had failed on Rednoseday (Wednesday) to write more than Croissant in Hosef's yearbook, he gave me his yearbook to write in during lunch. But because of strange timing, Jedi Princess and I had to sit with Prettyhair, Beret, and Rumor. Being Theatre kids, Prettyhair, Beret, and Jedi Princess all know each other; Jedi Princess and I used to sit with Rumor; I'm friends with Prettyhair from the Disney trip and I used to accidentally stalk him; Beret and Prettyhair date each other.
Prettyhair, Beret, and I all got pizza-- Beret didn't finish hers. Prettyhair doesn't like Hosef very much, but neither do most people that know him. Somehow, the idea was put forth (between Beret and Prettyhair) to put Beret's unfinished pizza in Hosef's yearbook (on my page...) because:
- He'd never forget me.
- It's original.
- Hosef is a donkey (*cough*).
Of course, this caused crazy laughter. And, so... Jedi Princess, Prettyhair, and Beret all pick up the piece of pizza and (SPLAT!) put it on the page. Then... we closed the yearbook. Causing the grease and pizza sauce to go ALL OVER my page (and Croissant's). We all busted out laughing... until later when I felt INSANELY GUILTY. I just can't be MEAN to people and not feel bad about it! The worst thing is, I had Hosef sign my yearbook before giving him his back, and he wrote NICE THINGS in my yearbook! I felt WORSE after reading it. (On the bright side, I had cleaned up his yearbook and wrote over the grease stain). He's not MAD about it (because I still WROTE a lot, even if it wasn't a great yearbook page since it got all *crazyeyes*).
Later, Elphaba and I went to the Band Concert; we learned that we are TERRIBLE audience members-- we spent the time passing notes on the back of the Courtesy-of-the-Arts-Board-Annoy-People-Packet, texting Bingo, and hoping that Dumbo would text me back. After it was done, Dorothy was a creeper, and then Elphaba and I went to the grocery store and got BEN AND JERRY'S!, which we consumed while creeping in my car. It was SO FUN! :D
Even LATER, Kangaroo-kiddo wrote me a poem. Which was awesome, and makes me smile. So sweet! :D!
Friday:
Was a pretty good day! Starting off with text from Dumbo saying plans were possible for this weekend (even though he's sickly). I texted him back a tackle-hug, and then when I saw him randomly in the morning in the hall, I got him to hug me WITHOUT having to convince him into it! WHOOHOO! Hug-training! :D
Blahblahblah, so it was a good day and I got ANOTHER hug from him (awkward side hug) at lunch. And life is good.
Yesterday (as in Saturday because I failed at posting this yesterday), I had TWO parties. Sadly, the first one (which I was at for less time) was MORE awesome than the second one, but it's okay. Dumbo was texting me, and we tried to make plans with Elphaba for today. That failed because he's a peacher's kid and he's so SWEET (he's currently visiting his grandmother in a nursing home! Aww! :)).
HE IS SO OBLIVIOUS! GRR.
At least his hug-training is progressing nicely. He will soon join the ranks of Benjamin and Astronaut. I am DETERMINED!
Okay, this was REALLY LONG but I need to go now. Maybe plans with Molly? Maybe? Please? :)
Quote for Today:
Beckett: "Why don't you both just drop your pants and get it over with?"
Castle: "I'm game."
~From Castle, an AWESOME TV SHOW! :)
Other Castle Quotes:
- Castle: "She's not naked. She's holding a gun...stra-te-gi-cally."
- Beckett: "What do you have up your sleeves?"
Castle: "Aside from my muscular arms?" - Martha: "What's Owen like?"
Castle: "I don't know, I haven't met him."
Martha: "You haven't met him?! And you said YES to letting Alexis go to prom with him?"
Castle: "*shrug* Yeah."
Martha: "You're a TERRIBLE father!" - Castle: "So, tell me, little man... have you ever been to prison?"
Anyway. It's awesome. Go watch it. THEY WILL HAVE A SEASON TWO! <3

The Coalition of Sickies
I have a FEVER of at least 100*, but that was before the thermometer was done measuring. Whoo. So, no school today.
Yesterday was kinda awesome. Wax Museum was in the evening, so although neither Molly nor I felt well, we had to suffer through school.
Comments about Yesterday:
- MyPants is evil. Seriously. Was it ABSOLUTELY necessary to taunt us? I mean, I liked him months ago (& he knew it), but WHY MUST HE TORTURE MY EXISTENCE AS A STATUE?
- My dad MASSIVELY failed and didn't see the IBM Satan.
- Mr Poisson is cool because he didn't listen to our entire thing or check it against the script, and he was our grader. A+!
- The Group Of Junior-Friends got to witness probably the worst run-through of our skit.
- People who don't like hugs are LAME.
- Crant is awesome; he had apple juice!
- King Toast can be annoying? (Who knew?)
- Theatre kids never cease being dramatic.
- MAlly is HOARSE.
- Seeing Kangaroo-Kiddo & Posse is cool. PINKY WIGGLE!
BUT IT WAS STILL KINDA AWeSOME.
Molly and I had to corner Dumbo to get him to hug us, which kinda stinks. His Hug Training needs to be stepped up. I mean, we trained BENJAMIN to hug us! He used to not hug us back and wasn't a very good hugger, but now he's much better! :)
Elphaba came up with a good question to ask somebody. "How would you describe my personality?" It's interesting to see how people answer; everybody seems to perceive you differently, and it's nice to know how they see you. I answered for her, Bingo, and Kangaroo-Kiddo; they all answered for me too. I wasn't nice about answering for Bingo because he has an ego problem and it always brings me joy to remind him that he's a bit egotistical. Kangaroo-kiddo was sorta difficult to answer for, but mostly because it was so late by the time I answered for her that I was getting a bit loopy. Elphaba was surprisingly simple; I've gotten to know her much better in the time since Disney, even though we've been friends for 3 years.
Coalition of Sickies:
Due to the fact that Dorothy was home sick today, like me, and we're both suffering HACKHACKHACK-ing and cold-symptoms, she decided that she is President of the Hack Club. I think it should be called the Coalition of Sickies, because Molly is sick as well, though she has teeth appointments throughout the day. She's miserably sick, too. Tomorrow, if Molly and I both are home sick (again), we decided that we should hang out and be miserably sick together. Sounds strangely fun.
People ought to text while they're at school. I mean, really, what are you doing that's so important? Certainly my tales of CSI: Miami and the stupidity of my dog are more entertaining than the boring teachings of Mr Potatohead? I mean, sure, teachers have great "That's What She Said" quotes, but nobody writes those down except Molly and I, right? And the joys of Friend Drama; that shouldn't keep you from texting me back and being like "I MISS YOUR FACE! DWOFUSFLSJFLSJ!" That would make me LAUGH. Though that could end badly, since I'm HACKHACKHACK-ing. Oh well. I WOULDN'T MIND THE TEXT-COMPANY!
I think I'm going to stop now. Molly said she'd blog later, so watch for that.
I hope everybody's having fun at SCHOOOOOOL. LAME HEALTHY PEOPLE!

Cheers!
This is Aly, whining about her day. Again.
:)
I'm SICK, and it's all Rorito's fault. Seriously. HER MOTHER MADE HER COME TO SCHOOL WHEN SHE WAS CONTAGIOUS AND NOW I'M SICKLY WHICH IS NOT GOOD. Worse, I was volunteering today at the wine festival Downtown. Bleh.
Yay Things About Today:
- ORANGE JUICE NOT FROM CONCENTRATE! And pulp-less!
- FREE DOUGHNUT.
- I got to see Kangaroo-kiddo! (My currently-favorite freshman)
- I got to see my confirmation mentor! (I haven't seen her in a year :( )
- I met a dude that has hair like Bingo's who is infinitely more awkward. He coincidentally goes to the school that our school's current band director used to work at. Freaky.
- I had some FROZEN CUSTARD and it was good.
- I gave some money to a dude playing guitar in front of the empty shell of my (deceased) favorite restaurant!
- I met a kid who gave me three balls; he was so adorable!
- I gave another bored-looking kid one of the balls and that made his day.
- I GOT TO HAVE THE BEST HOTDOGS IN THE CITY. Love.
- Free shirt !
Boo Things About Today:
- I'm sick.
- Eugh.
- Nasty coughdrop things that are worse than the OTHER nasty coughdrop things... and don't help as much.
- Grape juice from concentrate.
- Molly, Dumbo, Rorito, and Bingo went to lunch... without me. Dangit.
- People have been FAILING at texting me. All day. Just Elphaba, who is OFFICIALLY MY FAVORITE FRIEND! (take that, Molly!)
- I didn't get to go to the Jazz Band Festival, which Flailure and Kitterbee were at... :(
- It started raining while I was Downtown; and I'm wearing a white shirt.
- The rain was REALLY cold. And I'm wearing a white shirt.
- THE DANG WHITE WHITE SHIRT TURNED SEE-THROUGH-LY. >:o
- The best hotdog place in town RAN OUT OF PRETZELS.
- I'm still sick.
- My shoes are soaking wet, too.
- Jack Hanna's ANIMAL ADVENTURES is on. Eugh.
- Cat that speaks? Seriously? Riiiiight.
Basically, today was failish overall.
I wanted to go to lunch! *cries*
I mean, I know Rorito said she doesn't like Dumbo, but that doesn't mean he won't like her. Which would be awful... since I like him. And he's completely oblivious... I think. *hides*
I feel so bad for Elphaba! Her drama is so much worse than mine! My drama is pretty straightforward, but hers is all complicated and stupid and such a completely unfair situation for her to be in. (Sorry, Bingo; shan't tell!)
RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY, COME AGAIN ANOTHER DAY.
Oh, that reminds me! Madame started singing some strange kid's song in French the other day... I found it on youtube! (BEWARE: it's annoying)
- "If I Were A Butterfly" (Christian Children's song)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6aEImDGLc0
(fyi, she's a peacher's wife and director of music at his church, which explains this entire thing. Sorta.)
In order to make up for that, here's an AWESOME song by Hank Green (who shares a birthday with Molly. Hanko de Mayo/Cinco de Hanko. Go watch the vlogbrothers and you'll understand.); he is ALSO the brother of John Green, an AWESOME AUTHOR.
- "I Know (A Song in Ten Words)" by Hank Green
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lRldr2BH2M
Anyway, I'm going to end this now and go wallow, work on Molly's birthday present, and attempt to be artistic. Whee.
Quote for Today:
"We're looking for someone who doesn't like orange rabbits."
~Quoted from Elphaba; it was in the Mentalist (as in the TV show)
I just like that quote. So random! <3
